So, you need to know the model number for your Toshiba laptop computer. Maybe you need to download new drivers, upgrade your hardware or you just want to know your laptops model number for any other reason. Here I will show you a few different ways that you can find your Toshiba model number.
The Easiest Way:
- Close your laptop and Flip it over, so you can see the bottom.
- There should be a sticker label on the bottom of your laptop with your model number and serial number information on it. The model number should be near the top of the label. The number should look similar to A85-S1072 or L45-S7409.
If the label on the bottom of your laptop is missing or unreadable, you may be able to find your model number within your Windows operating system:
- Once your computer is on and Windows is loaded you may be able to find your model number by right clicking on Computer (or My Computer, depending on your version of Windows) in your start menu and clicking on properties. Your model number may be displayed in the window that opens.
- If your model number is not displayed there, you may also find it in the system information utility built in to windows. Navigate your start menu to All Programs (or Programs, depending on your version of Windows), Accessories, System Tools and click on System Information. Your model number should be displayed in the information window that opens.
If you are still unable to find your model number, you may be able to find third party system information software that might work, to find it for you. If all else fails, contact Toshiba to see if they can help you out.

Windows does quite well on giving all the part numbers but don’t get to safe sometime’s windows does get it wrong and then confusion comes.

Cannot start toshiba laptop, I’m looking for model number… Lable rubbed off too much, can’t start so windows utility to find model number is out I have a sattelli a210, is model number printed anywhere else,,,,tried holding down zero key while starting it wants model number but I don’t have it AND it now goes to the wizard on initial start up, I guess if I had model number I can go through the wizard,,,anywhere else to find it?

It doesn’t look like Toshiba had very many versions of the Satellite A210 available. I can’t say this for sure, but it’s a good possibility that your laptop is model: A210-ST1616 part number: PSAFGU-03H01D

Hey thanks for quick response. Tried the numbers you gave out,,, the recovery utility didn’t accept any version . Once I pressed zero and turned on laptop I’m stuck in the RAMDISK loop of always going to recovery utility. Is there a way to get out of that loop. The laptop does goe to windows sometime and maybe I can use a windows utility to find laptops model number. I’m sure it’s a A210 but I just don’t know the model number and the one u gave me didn’t work either
